Bio

Lucas loves snakes, turtles and lizards- I hate them! Lucas loves long walks in the woods on cold winter afternoons- I love to sit by a fire and thaw, while reading a good book of poetry. Despite our differences in hobbies and likes, we both have a passion for people and photography and that puts a smile on both our faces.

Lucas was born and raised in Vermont. I grew up on the Island of Jamaica and in 2004; I arrived at Bennington College in Vermont to study photography and Chinese. While in Bennington, I met a gracious woman named Laura who befriended me and gave me a place to hang out during school breaks. In 2008, to show my gratitude to Laura, I married her son (who by then was also my best friend) and the rest as we say is history.

Since the inception of Osorio Arts, Lucas and I have undertaken various projects together, traveling to Taiwan in the summer of 2009 to photograph the cultural transition from history to westernization that is apparent there. Other projects include the culture and natural beauties of Jamaica and New England. We have unique and very different styles of photography which compliment each other. Because of this, our art benefits each project for a well rounded, complete body of work.
